I have 2 mini 14s with original folding stocks and the front sling swivel is on the side of the gas block. Made in the usa by samson manufacturing. Mounting the sling on a short piece of rail bolted to the stock up front, and to the top rear of the stock is much superior to the factory sling mounting locations.
